Wild Rice
1/3 cup wild rice 1 1/3 cups water 1/3 teaspoon salt
Wash wild rice well in water several times (pour off the foreign particles from the top). Drain each time you wash it. Add wild rice and salt to boiling water in a heavy saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer covered without stirring for 30 to 40 minutes or until tender. Drain any excess liquid.
Yield: 1 cup cooked wild rice
